Sound Therapy and Listening to Your Favorite Music

Karaoke is a sound of music that sometimes soothes the soul depending on who is singing. I didn’t realize it until I started singing in the privacy of my brother’s house, how soothing it was until my brother said to try it.

At first, I would say “no,” but then another time he asked me again, so I did. And now, I don’t care who is listing or how bad I sound ( but I only sing with the family not in public). I sing to my granddaughter and she just smiles. Poor baby, she can’t crawl yet so she has no choice but to listen.

Singing does a body good.

There are many different sounds in music that can sound so beautiful depending on who is listening and what they like to hear. There are all kinds of musical sounds from country music, rap, classical, Mozart, rhythmical drums, and I’m sure there are more different kinds I didn’t mention because I may not of heard of them, yet.

Regardless, we all have that one song that makes you go back in time as soon as you hear it. It may be a special dance, first kiss, or just a favorite hangout where you first heard the song you liked.

Did you know that our body has its own system of vibrations that can bring us into balance by sound waves?

Have you ever heard of singing bowls? Some are made of glass and others are made of metal. When made to sing it makes a calming sound, and if put on your body and made to sing, you can feel it vibrate all over your whole body.

Sound therapy does help reduce stress and improve health. It can help us emotionally, enhance our creativity, help our energy and brain functions. Sound thereapy helps young children with autism, or learning disabilities, and the elderly who suffer with Alzheimer’s.

It all depends on your mood, really. For example, if you are feeling depressed you would listen to music with upbeat tunes that make your feet go footloose and fancy-free. Music that makes you want to dance, or something that relaxes you, so it might be something soft and slow. Even natural nature sounds like birds singing or a quiet creek sound.

The sound of the ocean is one of my favorite sounds, especially if I’m there at the beach in person.

Sound Therapy is the way to go.

To help you heal and get you out of your depression or just to go into yourself and remember happier times. The rhythms of the music are there to make you feel the vibrations.

The vibrations you feel from the music are a part of the healing process that your body needs to heal itself and get into its balance.

It helps the body relax and become stress-free, empowering the body’s health mechanisms, and makes it self-healing.

So do some sound therapy, let the music soothe your soul, and be happy. Don’t worry, and be stress-free.
